QUALITY ASSURANCE AUDITOR
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Hourly inspection of plastic injection molded parts, perform first article reports for start up and shut down parts, and perform final product inspections. Perform other duties
as assigned.
Qualifications

Education
Associate degree or equivalent experience
Experience
Ability to perform first articles, floor audits & final inspections
Blue print reading including Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing
Use of calipers, micrometers, optical inspection equipment, etc.
Other Skills
1. Must have good verbal and written communication skills
2. Ability to work independently
3. Ability to plan and prioritize work
4. Ability to read, understand instructions and communicate effectively in English
5. Good math skills
6. Computer skills preferred, but not required.

Hours
40 hour work week from 11:00 p.m. to 7:30 a.m. Monday through Friday
Overtime hours as required

CNC OPERATOR
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Operates conventional and CNC machines, lathes and mills.
Inspects parts in process and monitors machine operation reporting any needed repairs.
May set up machines and monitor first part trial run.
May work toward editing programs and doing part-programming
Qualifications

Education
Technical college background preferred, but not required.
Knowledge of the Quality Management System.
Experience
Knowledge of machine feeds and speeds preferred.
Prior experience in CNC machining preferred.
Physical Demands
Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
Must be able to stand for a minimum of ten to 13 (10-13) hours per shift.
Must have dexterous use of both hands.
Other Skills
Must understand instructions.
Must perform mathematic operations quickly and accurately.
Must be able to read measuring equipment (i.e. micrometers, calipers, etc.)
Work Environment
Maintain a working environment in department consistent with company policies.
MOLD TECHNICIAN – 2nd and 3rd Shifts
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
1. Trains molding employees in the areas of basic E-Stop controls, water and air shutoffs for emergency situations.
2. Sets up, services and operates plastic injection molding machines and auxiliary equipment in a safe manner.
3. Installs molds in machines using safety precautions.
4. Troubleshoots problems with machines and processes. Adjusts machine controls as required by part process.
5. Checks molded parts for appearance and tolerances in accordance with quality control requirements.
6. Performs daily mold check and maintenance, i.e. clean, grease and inspect.
7. Performs normal day-to-day maintenance and assists with repair when necessary.
8. Identifies various plastic materials and material handling processes.
9. Identifies various material types and knows advantages and disadvantages to each type.
10. Participates in implementation of safety policies and assists in instructing employees in safe work habits.
11. Maintains hoppers and dryers as needed.
12. Assists in chart documentations.
13. Grinds scrap plastic for use as regrind as required and exercises good safety precautions.
14. Responsible for contributing to a positive and productive work environment.
15. Assists with normal day-to-day housekeeping.
Qualifications

Education
Training and knowledge of Injury Prevention Program (IPP), hazardous materials.
Technical college degree preferred, but not required.
Computer skills preferred, but not required.
Experience
Molding experience as a Mold Tender or equivalent is required.

Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
PLASTICS PRESS TENDER – 3rd Shift
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
1. Operates or tends one or more molding presses which have previously been set up.
2. Determines the machine is running a good quality product.
3. Maintains dump tracking chart on hourly schedule or other assigned schedule. Maintain press history sheet.
4. Assists with normal day-to-day housekeeping.
5. Trims gates and excessive flash from parts or any other secondary operation necessary to meet customer specifications.
6. Notify Shift Lead or Mold Technician of machine or part problems.
7. Weighs or counts finished parts to determine finished part count.
8. Performs all packaging procedures for shipping.
9. Responsible for contributing to a positive and productive work environment
10. Responsible for attendance as per Garner Attendance Policy.
11. Responsible for blowing out machines
12. Responsible for grinding runners.
13. Watch for material in blenders, if blender alarms shut off alarm and notify Shift Lead or Mold Technician.
14. Perform others duties as assigned.
