Challenge: A leading manufacturer of custom motorcycles needed hand grips and foot pegs for its custom motorcycles. However, the machining requirements were precise and complex, the metal parts required a high quality, polished and plated finish, and required plastic overmolding to ensure riders a firm grip. The customer’s engineering and purchasing staff turned to Garner Industries to supply these complex parts.
|
|
Solution: Garner Industries recommended to single source all five manufacturing processes under one consolidated purchase order, with Garner making each step in the process seamless and transparent to the customer. Garner provided mold building, CNC machining, plastic injection molding, polishing/plating and final assembly. The customer simply received finished parts ready for the production line.
